A Partnership Is Only as Clear as Its Handoffs
On October 27, Dayforce announced an expanded alliance with Deloitte covering go-to-market, delivery, and co-innovation. One early project is a Dayforce application for payroll control reviews, variance checks, and sign-offs, with an audit trail. (Dayforce announcement)
The companies say closer alignment is meant to reduce handoffs and risk in complex deployments. That’s a useful goal—but an alliance alone doesn’t show whether ownership will be clear when a control flags an exception or a rollout hits a snag.
A practical test for customers: can they identify who owns each decision, who resolves exceptions, and who supports the workflow after go-live? Shared delivery works best when collaboration connects expertise without blurring accountability. What would you want to see before calling this kind of partnership successful?
