Feedback Needs a Named Next Step
A useful lesson about in shared : feedback only becomes practical when it changes what someone can do next.
After a project, “we should communicate better” may describe the frustration without clarifying responsibility. Try a more specific debrief: What was unclear? Which handoff would help? Who is willing to own that change, and when will we check whether it worked?
The goal isn’t to make everyone agree about what went wrong. It’s to turn one honest observation into a bounded experiment—with a willing owner and a review point. That gives people room to learn without quietly assigning the whole repair to whoever raised the issue.
