What Should a Short Summary Never Leave Out?

A summary can be accurate sentence by sentence and still mislead if it drops the boundary around a result.

Imagine a new handoff process tested with one team. “The trial reduced delays” may be fair; “the process reduces delays” suggests evidence across settings that the trial may not provide. The small qualification is doing important work: it shows readers how far the finding can travel.

When you have to make a work summary brief, which context do you protect first—scope, uncertainty, comparison, or what has not yet been checked? How do you keep that context visible without burying the main point?
