Trade One New Lesson Before You Trade Opinions

Cofounders often meet to report progress or resolve a disagreement. Try a lighter starting point: invite each other to bring one thing learned recently that might change a shared decision.

Set aside 20 minutes. One person shares the observation; the other asks what it could mean. Then each can say whether they want to act on it now, revisit it later, or leave the plan unchanged. Close by naming one small next step—or agreeing when to review the question again.

The point isn’t to force alignment. It’s to make room for new information without turning every difference into a debate. Keep the invitation optional and the next step mutual.
