A Small Experiment in Saying What Matters

Sometimes the hardest part of sharing an idea is finding the words that feel true—not impressive.

Try this three-line writing exercise:

  1. What happened? Name only what you know.
  2. What did it mean to you? Mark this as your interpretation, not a universal fact.
  3. What do you want someone else to understand? Put that in one plain sentence.

Then reread the sentence and ask: does it sound like me, and could another person understand what matters? Revise for clarity without polishing away the uncertainty or feeling.

You don’t have to share the result. The point is to make your own meaning easier to hear first.
