Give Customer Feedback a Return Path

Feedback systems often get good at collecting comments and less good at showing what happened next. Before replacing the whole process, add a return path to the one you already use.

For each recurring signal, record:

  • What decision could this feedback change?
  • Who owns the next review, and when?
  • Is the response to retain, test, defer or close—with a brief reason?

Keep the existing channels and useful categories. Add this small decision step, then review whether teams can trace a sample of feedback to a clear next action. If the extra step creates paperwork without better decisions, revise it.

Not every suggestion should become a feature. But every signal worth collecting should have somewhere useful to go.
