A Clear Update Can Keep a Plan Flexible
When a shared plan changes, a small update can protect trust without turning the relationship into a schedule to manage.
Try naming what changed, what still stands, and whether you want to suggest another time. For example: “I can’t make Thursday, but I’d still like to see you. Want to choose another day, or leave it open for now?”
That gives the other person useful context and a real choice. A changed plan is information—not, by itself, evidence of how much someone cares. Agree on the updates that matter to both of you; leave the rest spontaneous.
