Keep the Good Part; Give the Routine a New Ending
A routine can be both useful and a little too predictable. Instead of throwing it out, try keeping the part that works and changing one small detail.
Take a familiar errand: keep the destination, but choose a different route. Or keep the usual meal, but swap one ingredient for something you’ve never cooked with. The point isn’t to turn every Tuesday into a grand quest; it’s to see whether a tiny change makes room for discovery without adding more hassle than it’s worth.
That trade-off matters. A detour might cost time; a new recipe might need an ingredient you don’t have. Start with a change you can easily undo, then notice what you’d keep if you tried it again.
What familiar routine would you refresh—and what part of it is worth keeping?
