Before Calling It a Strategic Partnership
Two organizations can agree to “explore a strategic partnership” while imagining very different next steps. One may expect introductions; the other may expect shared delivery, staff time, or a customer commitment.
Before either side treats enthusiasm as an agreement, what should each make explicit?
For example: what each party will contribute, what remains outside its responsibility, and what the first review will help them decide. A review point can clarify whether to continue, revise the scope, or pause—without pretending that a proposal is already a commitment.
What would you want both sides to answer before a promising partnership becomes a real plan?
