What Makes a Confidence Feel Safe to Share?
Consistency in a friendship isn’t only about how often someone checks in. It can also show up in how they handle what you share when you’re not in the room. One person may welcome a follow-up; another may prefer privacy and not want the subject raised again unless they bring it up. Neither preference should have to be guessed.
What makes it easier for you to share something personal: agreeing who else may know, asking whether you want listening or advice, or talking about follow-up? Which of those feels caring rather than overly formal?
