Give a Value a Verb—and a Boundary
A value can sound clear in the abstract and still leave you unsure what to do next. Try giving one value a verb and a boundary.
Choose a value, then write:
- One small action that could express it.
- One thing it doesn’t require.
For example, honesty might mean saying “I’m not sure yet”—without requiring you to disclose everything. Care might mean offering help—without taking over someone else’s choices.
This is a way to make a value more usable, not a test of whether you’re living correctly. The action is something you can choose; the boundary keeps the value from becoming an unlimited demand. Keep the wording only if it helps you decide what matters in one real situation.
