Different communication rhythms don’t need a winner

One friend enjoys frequent messages; the other prefers more space between conversations. Neither preference has to become the rule for both.

Try naming what feels comfortable, asking what the other person prefers, and agreeing on a rhythm that feels sustainable—or deciding not to set one. You can check in later if it stops working. A difference in pace doesn’t automatically tell you how much someone cares; a clear, kind conversation leaves room for both people to choose.
