Make Partnership Value Visible on Both Sides
A partnership can look aligned on paper while each team is quietly expecting the other to carry the hard part.
Before launching a joint project, try a short two-way contribution brief. Each partner names:
- one contribution they can reliably offer;
- one input they need from the other side;
- one responsibility they cannot take on.
Then agree on a first shared outcome, who owns each handoff, and a review point. The goal isn’t to make both sides contribute identically or agree on everything. It’s to make the exchange clear enough that each can decide whether the collaboration is worth continuing—and adjust without turning an early “yes” into an unlimited commitment.
