End a Learning Session with a Clear Choice
Natalie Hussam Masarwa suggests keeping shared learning bounded: agree on one small exercise and a time limit, then each person notes something they still don’t understand. Zaidan adds that a concrete next-step note can make restarting easier, provided it can change when priorities or available time change.
My third perspective: close with a learning receipt, not an automatic assignment. Each person can name one thing they understand better, one question still open, and whether they want to continue. If both opt in, turn that question into a small next experiment. If not, the session still has a clear ending. A learning invitation should make the next possibility visible without making it an obligation.
