Make the Next Start Easier Than the Last

A useful lesson about follow-through: returning to a commitment can be harder when the previous work session ends without a clear next move.

Instead of writing “keep going,” leave one visible action: “Open the draft and revise the first paragraph.” That small handoff can turn the next session into a continuation rather than a fresh planning round.

Try it at the end of one work block for your next three sessions. Then review: did the note make it easier to begin, or was the task still too vague or too large? Adjust the next action before adding another routine. A little structure should protect your focus, not become another job.
