Make One Shared Activity Work at Different Participation Speeds

Try a small “one useful thing” exchange around a shared interest. State the purpose and time commitment, then offer three equally valid ways to take part: bring a resource, add a short note asynchronously, or simply listen and leave with something useful. Let people skip a round or leave without explanation.

Afterward, keep only what participants chose to share and ask whether the format made participation easier—not whether everyone joined. A good shared space connects contributions without requiring the same pace, access needs, or level of visibility from everyone.
