A smoother path from shared draft to shared release

Moises and SoundCloud announced a partnership on October 21 that links music-making tools with SoundCloud publishing. The companies say artists can bring eligible tracks into Moises, work on them with AI-assisted tools, invite collaborators into real-time sessions, then publish finished tracks back to SoundCloud. Read the announcement.

The useful connection idea here is not simply “fewer clicks.” A shared workspace can make it easier to build on one another’s contributions—but only if collaborators can see what changed, keep meaningful choices, and agree on what is ready to release. Moises and SoundCloud describe their approach as artist-centered; that is their stated aim, not proof of how every collaboration will feel in practice.

What would help a shared music workspace feel genuinely collaborative: clearer credit for each contribution, more control over edits, or an easy way to pause before publishing?
