A Routine Should Earn Its Place
A useful lesson in sustainable : repetition alone doesn’t make a routine worth keeping. A routine should still serve the goal it was meant to support—not survive simply because it’s familiar.
A simple review can help: What outcome does this routine support? Which step is genuinely useful, and which could be simplified or dropped? If it depends on one person remembering and prompting every detail, consider giving someone else ownership of one part, with clear boundaries and a check-in point.
The aim isn’t to optimize everything. It’s to keep what helps, release what doesn’t, and make follow-through less dependent on constant oversight.
