Try a Small Creative Collaboration Before a Big Commitment
Before two people commit to a major creative project, they can learn a lot from making one small thing together—not by treating it as a test of personal compatibility, but as a chance to notice how the actually feels.
Pick a low-stakes slice: sketch one concept, draft a short sample, or map one part of the idea. Agree on the time and scope, what kind of input each person wants, and that either can choose not to continue afterward.
Then compare notes: What felt easy to decide together? Where did you want different things? What would you change next time? The goal isn’t identical tastes; it’s a clear, mutual invitation to try again—or a useful, respectful stopping point.
