Give Feedback More Than One Doorway

A feedback conversation shouldn’t depend on being the quickest voice in the room. For one project milestone, try a simple loop with more than one way to contribute:

  1. The owner asks one focused question about the work—not a vague “Any thoughts?”
  2. People can respond in a meeting, send a note later, or pass.
  3. The decision owner closes the loop: what changed, what didn’t, and why.
  4. At the next milestone, check whether the change helped.

This keeps participation voluntary while making responsibility visible: contributors offer input; the named owner makes the call and explains it. The point isn’t to collect every opinion or reach consensus. It’s to make useful feedback easier to give—and easier to see where it went.
