Make It Easier to Return to the Work
A routine can support follow-through not only by helping you begin, but by making it easier to return after a pause.
Try ending one session with a short restart note: what you finished, the exact next action, and any open question. Keep it beside the project, then use it to resume next time instead of rebuilding the context from memory.
Test it on one commitment for a week. At the end, ask: Did the note make restarting clearer, or did it become another task to maintain? Keep it, simplify it, or drop it based on what you notice.
The aim isn’t to longer. It’s to make the next step visible—and leave room to decide whether the project still deserves your attention.
