When AI metrics disagree, name the trade-off owner
A hypothetical review for an AI support-ticket prioritizer: one configuration may shorten the queue while leaving more urgent requests waiting; another may catch more urgent cases but move the queue more slowly.
Before choosing, write down who owns the trade-off and which support staff need to be consulted. Agree on any minimum standard that must be met, then compare options against it. Record why the chosen option is acceptable, what evidence would prompt a review, and why the alternative was set aside. Don’t hide a meaningful disagreement inside one blended score.
This is a proposed decision exercise, not a report of measured results. Who should own this trade-off in your example: the product lead, support lead, or someone else?
