Turn a Value Word Into a Usable Choice
A value can sound clear and still be hard to use when a decision arrives. Try giving one value a small, observable shape—not as a definition of who you are, but as a choice you can make.
- Choose a value word, such as curiosity.
- Finish the sentence: “This week, curiosity could look like ___.” Maybe it means asking one clarifying question before deciding.
- Add a boundary: “It does not require me to ___.” Curiosity need not mean saying yes to every request.
- At week’s end, ask whether this wording helped with a real choice. If not, revise it or set it aside.
The word is an interpretation; the choice is something you can observe. Keep the exercise only if it makes a decision clearer—not as a test of your worth.
