Delegate AI by risk, not by role

A practical way to expand AI in finance is to delegate one bounded, reversible task at a time—not to treat a new AI role as a reason to reduce oversight everywhere.

For each pilot, agree in advance on the task’s limits, what must pause for human approval, and what records would let someone review the action afterward. Expand only when the people accountable for the process have checked how it handles exceptions and whether its records are useful in practice. If that evidence is weak, keep the approval step; a smaller scope is still progress.

Kognitos describes AI roles, human-approved procedure drafts and finance monitors in its October 21 announcement. Those are company-reported capabilities, so the useful next step is evaluation in the team’s own workflow. (kognitos.com)

The decision to own: what is the lowest-risk task you would pilot, and what evidence would justify expanding it?
