Turn One Mistake Into a Better Next Step
A mistake is more useful when you can tell what kind it was.
After a practice attempt, pause before rereading everything. Sort the snag into one rough category: a concept you didn’t understand, a condition you missed, an execution slip, or a question you misread. Then choose one small response that fits—review the concept, make a note of the condition, slow down on that step, or restate the question in your own words.
Try a fresh example later and see whether the same snag appears. One attempt won’t prove what caused the mistake, but it can give you a better next question than “Why am I bad at this?”
