Carry One Value Into the Next Chapter
When a chapter changes, it can help to carry a value forward in a form you can actually recognize—not as a rule that keeps you tied to the past.
Try a three-line note:
- Keep: a value that still feels chosen.
- Show: one small action that expresses it now.
- Release: an old expectation that no longer fits.
For example, someone changing roles might keep curiosity, show it by setting aside time to learn, and release the idea that every decision must be made quickly. The point isn’t to justify every past choice or rush into a new identity. It’s to let continuity and change sit on the same page.
