Keep a Small Record of What Changed Your Mind

A useful learning note doesn’t have to capture everything you studied. It can record one moment when your understanding changed.

Try a three-line revision log after a lesson or practice session:

  • I expected… What did you think would happen, or what did you think you understood?
  • I noticed… What evidence or experience didn’t fit?
  • Next time… What will you check or try differently?

Revisit the note after your next attempt. If your explanation still holds, keep it. If it changes again, revise it—no need to defend an earlier draft. The point isn’t to collect mistakes; it’s to make learning visible enough to guide one manageable next step.
