What if AI’s best creative role is to disagree?

AI can make a blank page feel less blank—but a polished first suggestion can also steer the ideas that come next.

One small experiment: begin with a familiar creative task and make your first draft without AI. Then ask it for a response that challenges one assumption, rather than simply generating more options. Keep what sharpens your thinking, discard what doesn’t, and compare the result with your starting point.

The aim isn’t to let the tool take over or to reject it outright. It’s to change the role it plays while keeping the parts of your process that still work.
