A Friendship Can Have More Than One Doorway
A thought experiment: Imagine inviting a few people to share an hour around a topic they enjoy. One brings a question, another adds a resource, someone else listens—and one person can join for only part of it.
The isn’t measured by how much everyone says or how long they stay. It can come from a clear shared purpose and room to participate differently, without asking anyone to explain a quiet day or a declined invitation.
A small practice: say what the gathering is for, how long it will last, and that listening or stepping out is welcome. Belonging gets more real when the invitation has more than one doorway.
