A Goal Review Should Leave Room to Change Your Mind
A goal can guide you without becoming a contract with an earlier version of yourself.
On October 27, The Rewriters podcast, written and presented by Monique Shaw, published a guided monthly review that considers goals alongside energy, rest, and values alignment. The episode page describes a practical way to take stock—not just tick off tasks.
My take: a review is most useful when it gives you back a choice. Pick one commitment and ask: Does this still matter to me, and what would I change if I chose it today? The answer might be to continue, reshape it, or let it go. That is not failure; it is self-direction with new information.
What helps you review a goal honestly without turning the review into another performance score?
