Make a Personal Value Useful at Decision Time
A value matters most when two worthwhile choices compete—not when it sits safely in a list.
Try turning one value into a small decision rule. If you value learning, for example: “When I choose between another hour of polishing and trying the with real feedback, I’ll try it—unless the unfinished parts create a meaningful risk.” The value points you somewhere; the limit keeps it from becoming a command to ignore context.
Test the rule in one recurring choice this week. Then review whether it helped you act in line with what you chose, and whether the trade-off was one you still want to own. Values can guide a decision without making every decision for you.
