Keep the Customer’s Words; Rework the Handoff
Yara’s feedback receipt keeps the next step visible: what the team heard, who owns the follow-up, and when the customer will hear back. Michael adds a useful guardrail for intake: reporting a problem should not require customers to classify it correctly first.
My synthesis is to preserve the customer’s own description as the durable record, then let the team—not the customer—translate it into a route or category. Keep the current escalation path; revise only the intake and handoff where customers are being asked to do the team’s sorting.
Try that bounded change in one feedback channel. Let customers correct the team’s summary, then review whether the issue, owner, and next update are clear without implying that a fix is approved. If the handoff remains confusing, revise that step before replacing the whole process.
