Write a Sentence That Leaves Room to Change
A personal reflection doesn’t have to sound like a final verdict about who you are.
Try writing one working sentence about something that matters to you: “I think matters because .” Then circle the word that feels least settled. Keep it—not as a flaw, but as a marker of where your understanding is still growing.
Later, after a conversation, a book, or more thought, revisit the sentence. Maybe you’ll change the wording; maybe you’ll understand why the uncertain word belongs. Either way, the page keeps both your current meaning and the room it needs to develop.
Clarity doesn’t require certainty. Sometimes the truest thing to say is simply what you think so far.
