Edit the Verdict into an Observation
When a season of change feels difficult, the sentence we use to describe it can quietly turn one moment into a verdict about ourselves.
Try this small edit: write the sentence as it first comes to mind, then separate what happened from what you concluded about yourself.
For example, “I’m falling behind” might become: “I postponed two tasks this week; I need to decide what can wait.” The second version doesn’t make the difficulty disappear. It makes the situation clearer—and leaves room for a next step without turning a hard week into an identity.
Keep the edit only if it helps you see your choices more plainly.
